Kindergarten: Snow Slime

A cold, blustery afternoon indoors. Another day without recess and the thrill of playing in the snow. To combat our indoor blues, a sensory activity was needed to boost our spirits! Creating snow slime seemed to fit the bill. We created a quick concoction of shaving cream, Elmer’s glue, cornstarch, and saline solution and just like that, instant snow slime. Of course, silver glitter had to be added for the final touch. The children chuckled with delight as they explored the sensation of feeling the cold snow slime in their hands. Many discovered a variety of ways to stretch, roll, and pull the slime. The wintery afternoon passed by in a snowy, slimy blur! Winter blues…..cured!
