Pre-Primary: The First Few Days...
The first days of school have been filled with learning how to be at school. We have practiced sitting at circle, lining up as a group and how to choose works independently. There have been tours of the playground and the courtyard and the rules that correspond with each area. The children have explored the classroom and chosen works; sponge squeezing in practical life and the puppets from the language area have been especially popular!
We ask so much of the children in the first few weeks of school; there is so much to learn about the classroom and schedule. They amaze us each day as they happily move between activities and remember the details of each part of the daily routine. We look forward to see what else this group will accomplish!
“One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.”
